Mynga got her third Chemotherapy treatment today! Which means her blood cell count was good. As usual when I picked her up she was in good spirits wanting to say HI to every human and dog in the lobby.
A few new developements though:
We have noticed Mynga stinks, well she has always stunk - one of her nicknames is "Stinky". But lately she has a fish like odor. Turns out that Mynga may have a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). They have submited a urine culture and we will get results in 3-5 days.
Mynga is losing weight. The doctors are not worried about it because Mynga still has an appetite and is not vomitting. But they will continue to monitor her weight. They believe that it is a possibility that Mynga will gain weight when the UTI is under control & when we go every other week with Chemo treatments.
Other then these two - Mynga has been doing great. Thanks again for your well wishes and positive thoughts.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the updates and sharing all the pictures. I enjoyed reading the blog tonight. It sounds like you all are hanging in throughout this process. A UTI could put anyone is a rough spot so if that's the case, hopefully they can help with that. Mynga looks marvelous in her red sweater!
